How A Good Stretch Cream Will Help To Remove And Prevent Stretch Marks

3:51 pm February 23, 2010

The skin is a wonderful organ that is able to adapt to many circumstances. Unfortunately, being subjected to rapid stretching is not always one of them. When you go through puberty and therefore grows very fast, or gain rapid weight or get pregnant, your skin can’t keep up with the speed of stretching required from it and the result is stretch marks that form around the affected areas. Stretch cream can help to alleviate and prevent the problem.

Your skin has 3 layers. The top layer (called epidermis), a middle layer (called dermis) and a bottom layer (stratum). When your skin is stretched at a very fast pace, as which happens when you are pregnant, the two top layers can’t stretch fast enough and often actually tears, resulting in hideous stretch marks.

The stretch marks usually appear as red bands or stripes around the area where the skin was stretched too much too quickly. This is usually around the stomach, upper arms, breasts, buttocks or thighs.

If you follow a healthy diet that contains all the minerals and vitamins your body require for a healthy skin it will help a lot to prevent such marks from occurring in the first place. A regular fitness program will further enhance the elasticity levels of your skin and modern stretch creams will greatly help to remove and prevent these marks that form as a result of over-stretching the skin.

A product manufactured from natural components that have proven itself over time to have a beneficial effect on stretch marks is always a good choice. Many modern stretch creams either contain collagen or stimulates the production of this natural substance that is a prerequisite for the skin to be elastic.

A top quality stretch cream like StretchCream.org">Revitol Stretch Mark Cream will penetrate all three layers of your skin and repair and strengthen its elasticity. The net result will be that these marks caused by stretching will either disappear altogether or become much less obvious. Your skin will become more elastic and not so prone to stretch marks next time it is subjected to stretching.

Teen Stretch Marks And Revitol Stretch Mark Cream

11:13 am February 13, 2010

If you have stretch marks they can be acutely embarrassing to you while tanning at the beach or working out at your health club or even attending a family picnic at the park. They can be downright heartbreaking if your teen-age son or daughter dreads wearing a bathing suit in front of his or her friends because of them. One possible answer to stretch marks is Revitol Stretch Mark Cream.

Stretch marks, or striae, is a scarring of the skin. It is caused by tearing of the layer between the epidermis and the dermis (the subcutaneous tissues.) They can appear anywhere on the body, particularly in areas with fatty tissue, such as the abdomen and buttocks. Striae begin as red or purplish lines.

Susceptibility to striae is more common than you might think. Since stretch marks are simply a result of too fast an expansion of the skin, there are many circumstances people face that result in the unwanted marks. Women who are pregnant, people who weight lift, and those who suffer from obesity all can find themselves waking up to these marks.

There are a few different strategies on treating striae. One option is surgery. Surgery has its pros and cons. First, the cost of surgery can be prohibitive for some people. Also since general anesthesia is involved, this may prove to be unacceptable for some prospective patients. For those willing to accept the surgery option, cosmetic surgery can essentially pull the skin taut and thus improve the appearance of skin.

An alternative to surgery is the use of a stretch cream. It can not only fight existing striae but also prevent marks from appearing. Pregnant women need to be very cautious about what they put on their skin. The good news is that Revitol uses all safe ingredients and includes no steroids.

Vitamin C may increase the production of collagen, so include this important antioxidant in your diet. Try also to include other nutrients that are associated with improved skin, namely zinc and vitamins E and A. Only you can decide what the best course of action is for dealing with stretch marks. Just be sure it is the safest option for your situation.

Bad Stretch Marks – What Is The Best Form For Treatment?

9:09 am July 20, 2009
by Meghan D. Ernest

While stretch marks aren’t a serious medical condition, they can often be a source of frustration and embarrassment for those who have them. Most women will be forced to deal with them at some point, and they can be caused by many different things. If a person gains weight suddenly, or gets pregnant, or has dry skin or lives in a dry climate, they have a much higher chance of getting stretch marks.

You may be wondering why people get stretch marks. Stretch marks are formed when the top layer of skin is stretched too far, and the skin tears. As these tiny tears heal, scar tissue forms and the area is left wrinkled and misshapen. For most people, they will fade as years go by, but sometimes they just won’t go away. Many resort to surgical procedures to get rid of stretch marks, but they can often be prevented by maintaining your weight, and taking good care of your skin.

Other things that are thought to cause stretch marks are yo-yo dieting, dry skin, and lackluster nutrition. These things can cause the collagen and elastin within your skin to break down, leading to stretch marks. Here are some ways to prevent them:

If you work out consistently, your body (especially your skin) will benefit. Regular exercise increases overall circulation, keeping skin toned and refreshed. A good, sweat-inducing workout will remove impurities from your pores, and make your skin renew itself naturally.

Also, a good workout will balance your hormone levels, and make you less stressed. We all know that out-of-whack hormones and stress can wreak havoc with our skin, but that can be fixed through regular exercise.

Moisturize well, and often. Use a moisturizer that has Vitamin E- it can stop stretch marks before they start. Look for a moisturizer that has a lot of shea or cocoa butter, and apply it at least twice a day, right after you shower. Your skin will be silky and resilient.

Enjoy a balanced and healthy diet. Eating a lot of lean protein, fruits, and vegetables (and cutting down or eliminating tobacco and alcohol) will improve the condition of your skin. Select foods that have a lot of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. These ingredients will stimulate the skin cells’ natural renewal process, making the skin look stronger and reducing stretch marks.

There are many skin care and cosmetic products that work well on stretch marks. Those that have a higher concentration of vitamin A and vitamin E are great at preventing stretch marks from forming, and treating those that you may already have.

Cosmetics that are fortified with vitamins, moisturizers and minerals can work well as a skin treatment. Products that contain Vitamin A and Vitamin E are great at preventing stretch marks from forming, or to minimize the appearance of those that are already there.

For those who want to keep it natural, there are quite a few herbal preparations that promote healthy and supple skin. Ingredients like vitamin A, vitamin E, olive oil, and aloe vera work well when applied directly to the affected area. All of these will make you have more elastic, moisturized skin.

There are home remedies that are effective too- combining ingredients like egg whites and oatmeal will help to make stretch marks less noticeable, as well as encouraging the growth of new skin tissue. While they aren’t as fast-acting as a surgery, these natural and homemade remedies will work over time.

Unfortunately, there’s no real way to guarantee that you won’t get stretch marks. Most cases can be minimized through a balanced diet and a good workout program. Most of us will have to deal with stretch marks eventually, and no matter how you choose to treat them, it is possible to maintain healthy and stretch mark-free skin.
